Dropspring and Jadeheart followed. Jadeheart was exceptionally giddy.

She felt weighed down and uncomfortable. She had been so for a few days and she shifted her weight after standing up. "I think I need to go see the medicine cat, I don't feel right...."

Finchstripe nodded solemnly, but when she had gone out of the den, she rolled her eyes. "Hey, does any apprentices want to take one for the team and help Tanglepelt get rid of his ticks and change his bedding?" She asked. When nobody volunteered, she said, "Icepaw, can you do it this time?" She winked at him and added, "You may not get another chance to do apprentice duties after this one...I'll talk to the leader about a warrior ceremony which might be due soon."

He nodded, excitement flowing through him. He grabbed a large rabbit for them to share and went into their den. While he did ticks Phoenixheart told him stories about the olden days and how things were different.
