"No, my lives will be revoked. I am no longer your leader. Lunaclaw please call your deputy now."

Though shocked at this sudden decision, Finchstripe sat up straight and pricked her ears.

Lunaclaw nervously stood back up on the tree. This was it, her decision that would guide her clans future. "I have thought long and hard on this choice. I did not expect to make it so soon, there is a cat here who has proved their loyalty time and again. She is popular among our clan and I'm proud to serve beside her. Auburnleaf it would be an honor for you to serve as my deputy. Do you accept?"

Honeycloud's stomach dropped. Her head began to spin. Her claws stiffened and dug deep into the ground.

Flamepaw saw that Honeycloud looked sick and trotted over. "Are you okay?"

Finchstripe leaped to her feet and yowled her friends name heartily. She just hoped that her friend was feeling well enough to serve as deputy. She had been going through a bad spell of Yellow cough lately.

"I...I need to go," Honeycloud stammered. She stumbled out of the camp.

Auburnleaf's eyes grew wider. Everything after was all a blur. Me, deputy? Why certainly, she definitely qualified.
"I accept," she nodded her head.
Her thoughts swirled madly. Why had Applestar resigned? It seemed selfish really, a cat should only think of her clan first, herself second, especially a leader. Especially at times like this.

Galefeather boldly followed with out a second thought. "Honeycloud!" She called after her sister.
