I pulled the feathers on the back of my rooster’s neck to move him, and now he’s acting weird…

The title speaks for itself.. I was trying to bring my Buff Orpington rooster Rupin out of his bedroom cage to put him outside for the day like usual every morning, and when I was trying to scoot him out through the cage door, I had grabbed on the back of his neck lightly and tried to pull him out a little. And when he walked out he just sat. And he’s making these involuntary pecking movements. And he’s just sitting down. I’m laying down cuddling him and he’s doing fine, but making these weird purring sound… He never acted like this before. Did I hurt him?!?!???

Update, I opened the window up again for him to jump out, and he did so but before he did he seemed like he tried to crow first but no sound was coming out. But now that hes outside he isn’t walking funny or doing the pecking movement. And he’s crowing fine now. Im still so scared I might have damaged him by pulling on his neck feathers though… I didn’t mean to hurt my baby..
