I took care of a little Serama rooster for a friend. He was severely beaten by a modern game that got loose from his pen. The little serama's head was one solid scab, points on the comb were lost, eyes swollen shut, and his whole head was swollen. It was awful!! I used a lot of emu oil on his wounds. It has great healing properties. He stayed inside for a few weeks, got baths, and lots of cuddles. It took a couple months for the swelling in his head to go down completely, but he survived! I'd post a pic, but its even more disturbing than yours.
