
I lost a job once years ago and they lied to the unemployment office too. I found out that one of the bosses was having an affair. I barely knew the guys wife and never said anything to her. I wasn't going to say anything either. The wife worked there too, so he fired me because he was afraid I would say something. I went to the unemployment hearing and won. The really ironic part is that the person the company sent to represent them was the guy's wife. I testified that I believed I was let go because I had knowledge of his affair. After she heard that, she didn't contest my claim, and I won. It really backfired on the jerk that fired me.
In the end it worked out better for me. It freed up my time to find something better. These things sometimes are a blessing in disguise.
