I posted on here about an attack on my run and that we found all pullets except 1. Well, today I found her! Problem is...She is across a very busy 55mph road, hanging out in the weeds and clumps of brambles and bushy areas. Ive spent the last 8 hrs trying to get her, but when I get close she takes off in the underbrush. She comes out when I call, but now if I step towards her, she goes back in. Ive tried a net but I cant get her in a clear enough area where the net doesn't get caught on brush. Shes been gone since Friday. Anyone have any suggestions, I'm desperate here.

Does anyone have a live trap you can use? Like the small metal cage type where you bait it and they step on a little thing and the door closes? You might could bait it with her favorite treat and catch her

Oh my gosh you found her?!Thank goodness!
If she can't get out the other side, cut away from this bush if possible and grab her.

She stays somewhere in the brush unless I'm calling. I cant see her once shes in there. She has tons of room to move around and I cant get in. Its way too much to cut down. I thought about the after dark approach, but she goes deeper inside where I cant see or get to. Ive got a live trap out there with yogurt, meal worms and scratch. Shes so dang skittish. Shes finding a lot to eat because her crop was huge! Lots of bugs and vegetation.

Ok, she hasn't gone in the live trap. Day 2 of trying to catch her. I made a net on a pole. This is where she's hanging out.

thats rough. I hope you are spraying yourself for ticks/chiggers,... If the road wasnt busy I think you would benefit from having a dog run her back across the street but dont look safe. You definitely need some extra hands.

I just tried again. Here she is hunkered down. As soon as i move even a bit towards her, she goes back in the thick brush. Yesterday i tried catching her in my flip flops and a snake slithered over my foot! Eek, i don't do snakes. This photo is zoomed in.
