They won't accept blood here if you have tatoos or have spent over
6 months in a foreign country.

In WA state you can have had tattoos but not recently, and cannot have spent more than 5 months, cumulatively, in Europe.

I was living in France in 95-96 when the whole mad cow outbreak really, really hit and was understood (darn Brits... sorry EC). I wasn't permitted to give blood for several years afterwards but can again. I've spent maybe 14-15 months in France, total, so haven't hit that 5 year mark.

I have a tattoo and I gave blood two weeks ago. It has to have been over a year.

I do it for the free cookies.

I give when they will take it!! hehehe several times I was mad before I got there and then My BP was skyrocketed high!! and then once My iron was low, I had not gotten my monthly in take of chicken livers hehehe or greens. They call to let me know when they are in town now!!! and I get paid (if it is a work day) for 3 hours!! which I think I can only do once every 3 months, did not give the last time they were in town cause I was on meds, so i did not go try!!!
