I used to be terrified of needles. I'd pass out if I had to get stuck for a cholesterol test (literally, flat out on the floor passed out).
Then I took a fall rock climbing and shattered my L1 vertebra. Spent a week in the hosp with all sorts of needles and tubes. Then I had two kids, more tubes stuck in me. Then my Love bird had lead poisoning (don't ask) and I had to give him injections daily for chelating. Then my oldest daughter came down with RA and I have to give HER injections weekly.
Well, at this point, I think I am passed the needle phobia and I do donate blood regularly. Thank you Red Cross for calling every time I am good to donate again and reminding me!
