Nice save!!! Gorgeous bird...

...we tried to save a huge great horned owl last year but it had a broken wing that pierced the skin. The local wildlife rescue had to put it down. It was also a majestic creature like the one you saved...

When I let my girls out, they stampede so fast, it sounds like of herd of horses. Cracks me up they can be so loud stampeding!

Nice bird, they are protected around here too.

Good for you! You did the right thing. I read a quote once that said, "The greatest thrill is not to kill, but to let live."
I've often had racoons, possums, and other various critters around that I'd put cat food out back for and have not lost a chicken to them yet. There is a pair of hawks that nest here and raise one baby every year. As a result, my chicken pen is covered! They still make me nervous with my chihuahuas, but so far no problems

One exactly like that but much bigger ate one of my African Gray parrots.

I always took him outside with me to sit on me and enjoy my garden but that was his last day with me.

He spoke very well like a person and I could hear him calling my name and screaming as he was being killed. I couldn't do anything.

Yeah, I still cring and cry when i see those birds. Maybe this one will be nice since it has a concussion.
