The term "tramp stamp" was used earlier in the thread by another poster, why single out only one reply.
Tattoos, when I was a kid, teenager, youngman, they were only seen on carnival workers, servicemen and the like. Shoot I bet if I came home with a tattoo my momma would have remove it herself with a beltsander.
I often wonder exactly what kids think they are doing when they make pictures on themselves. I see young women and men with tattoos up and down their arms, neck, back, and feet. Some surely can be covered by clothing so they can maintain a professional appearance when needed. But the ones on the hands, high up on the neck, it's there for every one to see. Unfortunately we live in a world that relies on eyesight to make judgements, and the first impression is the lasting one.
Now truly who among you ladies would go to an OB/GYN with an 8 ball tattoed on the back of one hand, a skull and crossbones on the other. Who among us would use a lawyer with chinaman tatto just below his left ear or a lightning bolt on his forehead.
You put a tattoo on and put it out there for everyone to see. Don't be suprised if some people use the appearance of that "art work" to make a judgement concerning the owner.
The suggestion has been made for the OP to make an apt at the laser removal store in six months. Just why should she be responsible for the removal of a tattoo that she did not approve of in the first place. The kid is 18, old enough to vote, he's old enough to take care of his own mistakes.
Funny story. Sitting in the Dr's office Monday, a young lady walks in wearing shorts, flipflops, and tank top. She is tattooed from top to bottom, dozens of tattoos. She sits down gets on the cell phone and proceeds to tell her friend that she is at the Dr's but she is not going to put up with having to get an injection, because get this ------- SHE'S SCARED OF NEEDLES--------
