You CAN do it!!! If my hubby could quit, anyone can quit!!!
I quit 9 years ago, it is not easy but soooo worth it. I could smell things again and stopped coughing up yucky stuff, take nice deep breaths...You will love it!!!
I will be here to support you though the ups and downs!
You can't dwell on the past, move forward with today! It is much harder when you have other smokers around. I had my hubby still smoking away while I was quitting. He eventually quit 5 years later.
I found that i had to leave my smoking friends for a little while and DH too he is a smoker
He had to go outside and smoke and then come in through the basement door and wash his hands and face and brush his teeth B4 he was allowed to come back in the living room
I was going to quit on the first of the year but someone gave me a carton of my favorites (Marlbaro Reds) on Christmas day. So, I smoked em and then quit. It was easy because I really really wanted to. I had been smoking a long time too.
I tried to quit a lot! things that worked well. putting off the 1st cig of the day till later and later.till I was smoking one on the way HOME from work.new years is usually a stressful time pick a better one. The car cig was hard I sang loudly.diversion is good-my house was never so clean as when I was quitting.and of course lollypops and gum and Black jelly beans (not sure why but they would take my crave away)I smoked from age 15 till 30 and have been "clean" for over 12 years.dont give up I think Mark Twain said quitting smoking is easy I've done it hundreds of times!
