This little partridge rock wont stop shaking his head. He notices things, and he will startle, but if hes awake he's doing this. Its not a nerve thing, because when he falls asleep he stops.

OH, NO do I have a retarded chicky???

  4. Does he eat and drink and stuff?

It almost looks like a puppy we had that had water on the brain and she would run in circles constantly and if she stopped even her eyes would keep going in circles, and her head.... It was something to see.

Poor little thing, it's such a handsome chick too!

That's so sad! My aunt has a retarded cat, and all it does is walk around in circles. It's coordination is out of wack too, it will fall over when it tries to walk. But that's terrible. I'm sorry about your mentally disabled chick... [IMG]

He looks like he may have a problem with his vestibular system and his balance is off. Maybe an ear infection? I think a problem with the cerebellum can also cause similar signs. Hopefully he will get better!

I know nothing about this, nor about the disease that causes that twisted head thing, do you know what I mean? Some people post about how their chicken's head is twisted around looking behind itself or like when they sleep.

Could it be the twisted head disease, and right now she is trying to counter it? it looks like the head keeps wanting to go to the left, and then she brings it back?

    so sad!

Yes, he keeps putting it to the left. It comes back, but he never stops. What is twisted head disease? I think it is the one I helped out of its shell.... I probably should have left it alone.

Yes, Freddy22, you heard right! [IMG]
