I think I have a rooster!

Hello all! I got my flock today! back to being a chicken tender

I am a little nervous as I think one of the 8 week old babies I got may be a rooster?! I did indeed ask for only hens but I think this cutie snuck in.

Could someone help me confirm this theory please!

oh no.. I also got this one (the white bird). Being TOLD she's laying already ( 6months) a Blue lace wyandotte? her face is red also.. Is it different depending on breed? or did I get told I got 6 hens and 2 are actually roosters?!

That one is a hen.
Hens get the red too but they usually don't until about time they're ready to start laying.

The blue laced wyandotte is definitely a hen!

No, most hatcheries have them now. Yours is indeed a splash laced with not much lacing, but she is pretty.

I’ll take splash! very pretty! Can’t wait to get some eggs . I am being told my cockerel and the other black and grey ones are ameraucanas?
