Welcome!! This is my first year with chicks. My hens have always been rescues in the past. Never thought of it as being a half way house for hens but you have something there....

I just stepped away from the 'puter for a few minutes to feed and water the girls (and discover another girl has gone broody) and there were already half a dozen welcoming responses!! Like I say, I think I've found my new home.

I've already sent the BYC link to my sister in New Zealand. She's a frustrated chicken nut, too. Frustrated cos she lives in the city where no chooks are allowed.
