Went out to the girls around 7 this morning and Ravioli already has a full crop. I can’t imagine she filled it up between the time she woke up and me going out there. She didn’t want any treats this morning and didn’t follow me like she usually does while I do the chores in their coop/run. She did poop the normal amount last night and laid an egg from the roost (normal for her as she’s adjusting still to her new home). I did get her to eat some raw egg with olive oil in it. Does this seem like an impacted crop? What else can I do to treat it?

She is a RIR (I think) that is about 2 years old. We adopted her from a neighbor about 2 months ago. She gets BSFL treats once a day and eats flock raiser.

Hold her in your lap and massage upward on the crop so that it has a chance to travel in the direction it needs to empty
This is an old thread which might be helpful to you. It was one where I was trying to save a chick but the process is pretty much the same. (By the way- the polish I refer to in this thread is now one of two who rule the roost.
