i think my hen is sick!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if she is broody, she will sit for weeks and hardly eat or drink. - if you have no eggs for her to hatch and she is broody then you will need to "break" her.

\\every hen id different - so look it up in BYC for techniques

I just took the eggs out of the nest (real and fake ones) so she had nothing to sit on and tempted her with treats.
she bit so, I wore a leather glove to take the eggs

I had two ducks that sat on empty nests for over a week. I had to lock them up to "break" them, lol.

is she growling here is a link to my wyandote when she got broody http://mossytrees.blogspot.com/2012/06/broody-pullet-1.html

do a youtube search for broody hen and you will fing\d all kinds of hens growling and biting.

You've gotta take that video off the 'net, and convince all others to do the same, or else folks won't wanna raise chickens anywhere near their own back yards. And, then? Not in their neighborhoods. And, finally? They'll come out here w/ signs 'n bullhorns yellin' at me 'n mine, "Leave our yuppified valley!"
