Last week I found my two roos fighting. It was a pretty bad fight. I've had to seperate them now. They were both really bloody on their wattles and combs. I doctored them both with some peroxide and neosporin. Henry's is all ready so much better but Harry's (his comb is very large) has a huge black scab at the top back and even though I keep doctoring it it is now yellowish around the scab which I'm sure is an infection.
Am I not putting the right stuff on it or is what I'm putting on it not helping? I don't want it to get any worse and I'm at a loss as what to do.
He has officially moved into his own coop and run but he can hear the other chickens and wondering if it is stressing him and that might be why he is not healing? It will be a month or so before I can get him his own flock of hens that have been quarantined. I had him in my garage while we built his coop but he could still hear Henry crowing there too. He is eating and drinking fine but I'm just worried about his comb.
Thank you for any suggestions!
