yes they are red blood cells lmao. but she went into the run this morning and she went to the corner of the run furthest corner and she sat there like she had to go. i went in there and in picked her up to see if something was wrong and she squatted right in my arms. i measure my chickens ever now and again and i measured her bones tip to tip it was over 3 fingers so im hoping she will lay shes 25 weeks and 2 days old so if my babies or sonny laid ide be so happy what do yall think? does this sound like shes going to lay or something bad

Since she squatted, I'd say she's ready to lay, but the going off into the corner by herself has me a bit concerned. Is she hanging her tail too? Just check her vent to be certain she isn't egg bound and having a difficult time laying that first egg.

shes a barred rock and her tail is real high she has been squatting for weeks now and i had already checked her vent and it seems fine

Oh no! This is what I was worried about and I'm not the one to give you the right sound advice as to what to do for her as I haven't had to deal with this myself yet. (I've read a lot about it, but haven't had to deal with it.) Hopefully someone who has had some experience with this sort of issue, will chime in and give some advice as to what to do for her.

Could that be a shelless egg ? I have heard they sometimes do that the first few times.. Dont know for sure maybe try the search for first time layer or shelless egg..

It could be that since this is or was her first egg she was trying to lay that it ended up being a shell-less one and the membrane broke when she laid it. My girls have done that before. Keep an eye on her. If she is up and walking around now, she's probably just fine. It's when they stay to themselves and have their tails tucked that gets me worried.
