He appears to have yellow skin so is likely a Jersey Giant rather than an Australorp
Did his feet get frostbitten in the cold snap?

Australorps aren't Auto sexing.:]Not a problem. I wanted a rooster, but he turned into a pullet. How does a professional hatchery mess up on the gender of an auto sexing breed?!

No, BA's are not auto sexing. Bielefelders are. I specifically requested a Bielefelder rooster, and got a pullet.Australorps aren't Auto sexing.:]
You always had the genders they sent, some cockerels are just late bloomers and some pullets get pronounced combs.
Australorps have white skin. Jersy Giants have yellow skin. Look to the bottom of the feet and you will be able to see the difference.Yes

And if he's a Jersey Giant then the hatchery messed up AGAIN. I was supposed to get 3 BA's and 3 JG's. They all looked the same to me. Two of the 6 died within 24 hours so I had four left, and the hatchery hadn't banded the JG's as they said they would. The hatchery guy said that one of the dead chicks was JG. The remaining 3 are definitely JG. I bet they sent me 6 J G's rather than 3 of each.
That's one more in a long line of mistakes from that outfit.
Looks like 4 Jersey Giants. I'll be getting more australorps next month.Australorps have white skin. Jersy Giants have yellow skin. Look to the bottom of the feet and you will be able to see the difference.
Good luck. I love my Australorps!Looks like 4 Jersey Giants. I'll be getting more australorps next month.
Albeit, my guy is an australorp, not a Jersy Giant,. Sorry for any confusion. Can't really see the saddle area. Can you post additional pics? My 100% BA cockerel's wattles are twice that size at 12 1/2 weeks.
Edit, well, maybe not twice as big, but certainly as big and much redder. By 18 weeks you should be seeing male specific feathering. Crowing is an iffy situation. My little 12 1/2 week old has been crowing since 8 weeks old, but only after rooster and only when he is not in the direct vicinity of rooster. Here is my cockerel, just snapped the photo.
