I thought chickens could only lay an egg a day...

I don't know where I got this info, but I got 7 eggs from 4 chickens. I got 4 yesterday, so it wasn't that some were left over. Do I have the wronge info? You all let me know.

I've gotten extra eggs too. Lots of times, and I ALWAYS check morning and afternoon and a couple times in between EVERY day. It's weird how they do that sometimes.

Well I want to know if it is true? Am I wronge or not? They probably are laying real good right now, they just turned into pullets.

Correct. 1 or fewer a day. Isn't that what we said?

When my bluebelle started laying she went haywire for a couple of months, and would regularly lay two or three eggs a day (usually two soft shelled). One day she laid a hard shell, a soft shell, and a hard shell double yolker! Our vet didn't believe me, but I saw her lay each one with my very own eyes.

She's into her second season now, and has settled down to laying one a day, regular as clockwork. No double yolkers either.
