I thought this was a Pekin but could be a white mallard?

Is there any way to encourage the egg shell color? I have a Cayuga and I would love to have a black egg but she lays white- at first they were greenish but they weren’t very pretty (I want to drain one and keep it).

I think it could be a seasonal thing.

When is the end/beginning of the laying season? This is my first year with ducks, she just started this month or last, she’s about 6 months old. I thought since she layed a greenish one initially that it would be possible for her to lay a black at her next start of laying, but if it is determined by the season could her eggs start to darken again?

Very possible, My Cayugas haven't started laying as far as i know and if they have then the eggs are also white. So, def keep me updated lol.
