I TOOK MY CHICKEN SHOPPING TODAY/ UPDATE...REQUESTED PICS!!!

Rhett&SarahsMom :

I got a pattern just today for making those little dog carriers. I am going to see about making one for carrying a chicken.
I plan on taking Audrey with me as much as I can. She LOVES being out and about. She is, after all my pet

I was trying to figure out a diaper, but since she can't walk right now the paper towels work. I took her to my neighbor's to visit but she pooped on the towel in the purse and it stunk so bad I came home.......guess that's the difference between taking a small dog and a chicken :|

Well guys, lets all try it, our excuse if we get caught is "Oh! that clucking is just the ring on my cell phone, let me step outside and answer this call." *clutches bag tighter and runs to car as fast as possible*

Update on Scarlet the worldly chicken: Not sure we'll get out shopping today. Right now Scarlet is hanging out on the bottom rung of a bar stool.................in a sling. I have her contracted foot taped flat to a small piece of cardboard and she is eating and drinking like a little pig. We're trying to strengthen her leg muscles. Already did range of motion.

Guess We'll have to see where the day takes us. There is a festival in town tonight....maybe she will accompany us.

Too funny. I took my dog to Wal-Mart the first day I got her (when she was six weeks old) because we bought her as we were leaving town to go camping and didn't want to leave her in the car in July while we bought our supplies. The Wal-Mart people threw a fit when we were leaving the store and they realized we had gone all over the store with this puppy. Apparently it's a health hazard. I told them there was no way I was leaving the puppy in the car in the heat.

True Confession: One time when our Labradoodle was about 6 mos. old we were out with her and decided to stop at a restaurant and get something to eat. I didn't want to leave her in the car either......so I told the waitress we had a dog that was : IN TRAINING TO BE A THERAPY DOG and would like to bring her in.

She agreed and Sadie came in the place and acted like a complete nut, trying to run up to ppl and just being really excited to be in there with us. Needless to say it was a complete disaster and she ended up back out in the car while we inhaled our dinner........I never went back to that place ......I was so embarrassed.

Now, we look for outside cafe's.

We had a bum kitten we did that with. Except once they threw us out of Wal-Mart. My mom was mad and talked to the supervisor about how it was cruel to force a needy baby and its foster mom out in the heat while the rest of the family shopped. He let us back in.
