In college, I had a blind friend. She had to do something, I can't remember what, but couldn't bring her guide dog. When she asked me to babysit, she said I should just bring him everywhere with me. Then if I need to go into a store or something, "just stick on some sunglasses, no one will say anything". It was hard to keep a straight face while walking around with him... but she was right.
