This morning I found Survy dead in her brooder box. The temp got way too cold and a regular lightbulb didnt' seem to help, not even the heater. She was very lonely as well.

I tried my best but still I failed but thtat isn't going to get me down. Hubby and I talked and once the pups and mom are all gone to a new home and Hubby is back at work (Or I start working, either way), we are going to try again.

So far right now, no one has the money for anything. Hubby is out of work due to the doctor thinking something is wrong wth his heart, top of that he has ulcer. Im not supposed to be working but once the baby is born, Im going to give it a shot so my husband can finish school. As of right now, my SSI and my daughter's SSI is all we got, which is better then nothing at all. Hubby's truck and my Van have both gone down, so we have no transportation until farther notices.

Why is it always closer to the holidays when things start getting REALLY REALLY rough?

I'm sorry

so sorry about your run of bad luck. hope things get better soon. also hope you have better luck with chicks next time. make sure you have at least 2 or 3 as these are flock birds and will be lonely raised alone. Good Luck

It does seem like everything hits at once, doesn't it?

Poor Survy.

Let us know when you begin to build a flock again. I'm sure we can hook you up with some eggs.
