Hello, last night I washed out my ducks' water bowls with Ajax triple action orange liquid dish soap. I saw Ammonium in the ingredients, and I quickly researched it. It turns out that this dish soap also contains formaldehyde. I had already given my ducks their water bowls before I found this out, so I quickly grabbed everyone's bowls back out of their pens and rehashed them with Member's Mark blue soap (it's supposed to be like Dawn) Every duck bowl also has a plastic tray underneath. Should I be concerned? Would the Ajax hurt my ducks? I rinse everything very well, but I still worry the chemicals would stay in the plastic trays. Thank you.

Formaldehyde is naturally occurring and can be found in lots of foods. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as you rinse everything out well. Trace amounts won't hurt them.
