hello the names pecka i wanna start a duck farm but have no idea where i begin. I seen this cute pitcher of a duck on pinterest and says wow shes so cute i wanna start a duck farm so that why i am here. i wanna start a chicken farm well not a farm cus that isnt so nice for the feathy cretures but i wanna chickens for them eggs and may b a duck just for shits and gigles. ok. so i need some help on where to begin i already asked about them chickens on here but now i need to no how to rase a duck to. ANy ide?

First off Hello..
You will need a pen and house to accommodate how ever many Ducks you want?....
One Drake to three to five hens is good...
Quality feed, water at all times even during winter...
Not sure what else your needing answered ...?

So animals are not something you obtain "just for giggles." There is a lot that goes into caring for animals, especially ducks. They're not for the faint of heart. This is how people end up with animals that aren't cared for properly, because they saw a photo online, and thought they were cute.


I'd say go to your nearest bookstore and pick up a couple books on ducks AND chickens. Get Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks, for starters.

ya all no if them ducks need vacinatin and that doc stuff? my papa loves them geese to so if ya no anything about can they be with them ducks and chickens or shuld i seperates them. i has no intenshon for thanksgiving yet but my papa like i says loves geese but i will tell him he aint eatin nothin from my feathy freinds. anywoo, thx

NO i think it aint good when chickens ducks or aminals aint happy. thats why i am here furst to lern bout them and how to take care of them. my papa and mama had so many chickens and cows wen i was just a littel kid. its been years sinse i rased them so i wanna check here furst

Consider if you really want to put all the work in to them, if yes, buy them a pool, (ducks need water), duck grower (starter if they're ducklings)
a loving/caring home, and lots of space.
