This is a SILKIESERAMACANA.

The dad was a Serama, of course.
The mom was a silkie/Ameraucana cross. She laid green eggs, which is great b/c you can keep your "broody" hen in with your breeders and you always know who's egg is who's. No chance of hatching out a mutt.........unless you want to.

She was killed, so I took her last egg from that morning and put it in the incubator.

I just love to say it! Say it with me! Silkieseramacana.
Hope its a hen, so she can replace her Momma.

Thanks!! I think so. I have never had a bird that color...whatever you might call it. She has slate legs too, so Im getting eggs with color hopefully!!

I love the Japanese / brahma, too! Those are some of my favorite breeds, so send a photo when she's older! It's gonna be a short-legged, very long-tailed brahma! LOL
