I wanna spoil my babies

Tried grapes tonight. They just carried them around and then shook their heads. Not impressed. :) they will learn how amazing they are. Right now they are silly babies.

I remember being dissapointed at this age. I wanted to spoil them and be their superhero who brought treats. But they took quite a while to warm up to them. After a while they started learning that things in my fingers were possibly delicious. It got to the point where they would go crazy trying to get the grapes from my fingers, but if I put one in the brooder with them, they would ignore it.

Fast forward a couple months .... Now they act like starved velociraptors. :)

Ha ha! Mine do too. My seven 10 week old chicks already have figured out who the bearer of treats is! Me! They flock to the gate of the run and wait anxiously until I open the door and feed them whatever I've go. This is the same thing I did with my older birds, now 1 1/2 years old. The hens will follow me all over the yard if I have goodies. They try to snatch the bag of mealworms out of my hands if I am too slow about sharing them!
