I want a duck too. The problem is we have so many mosquitoes in the summer...add pools of water for the ducks, my mosquito problem would double or triple.

I really want ducks though.

According to your criteria, you could basically get any duck. ALL of them are incredibly cute! ALL of them can be pets! But I have to say, it does sound like you need to do a bit more research on the requirements a duck might need BEFORE you get eggs. Ducks are messy and they need room.

Pinioning=Cutting the wing to prevent them from flying. Have you checked locally to see if any ducks in your area are laying?
