i caught a golden tegu and he is just a baby, maybe 1 foot, I need some names for him.

Depends where you are. If they're invasive, you can keep it.

They are invasive and annoying when they eat everything and i have checked if it was legal.

I had one as a young, dumb high school and college kid. Meanest critter I've ever been around.
On a creepy side note - I had to leave it under the care of my roommate. He died while I was away. When I returned, I found that they'd been dropping 3 mice into his cage, and gambling on which mouse would be the first to die.

I'm gonna assume you're in Florida as those things are everywhere. I have 5 monitors myself one being a baby savannah. Tegus are the puppies of the lizard world. They can be tamed.
