I WANT those eggs because!!!! FREE eggs contest... GA

I want them because I love blue birds, and it turns out my neighbors (my inlaws, and we all know how important it is to keep the inlaws happy) like the blue ones too. I have a blue australorp and my father in law keeos commenting on how pretty its colored. I have bought a few mixed batches of eggs, hoping to get the shippers blue whatevers and have only managed to get a blue orpington.

I have shipped out some free eggs, but maybe one day when I get more pure birds I can do this too. Looks like you have a LOT of reading to do. Getcha a cup of coffee.

Ok, I'll throw in my "I want"

I have no blue chickens - I love how they look though I have never seen a blue barred rock (I love my barred rocks, though - they are so "naughty" in a funny way - very outgoing). I'll have to go look up Blue Barred Rocks to see what they even look like.

Due to poor hatches from shipped eggs, hubby won't let me buy eggs (read: spend money for nothing) that need to be shipped anymore, so I miss out on a lot of the really cool chickens offered on here. My only chicken shopping outlet is local or hatchery. I've been hatching my own mutts, and have a really good hatch rate, now (90% - 98%).

I'm trying to set up some pure bred flocks, and would love to add Blue Barred Rocks to the plan (I already have Barred Rocks in the plan, just not blue ones).

Congrats on the 3000 posts

i also would really love those eggs because a have a barred rock rooster and he is really lonely also thanks for giving people this oppurtunity of winning some eggs thanks

I have no chickens like this. Mine are all RIR's.....We have ordered some "fancy" chicks but they will not arrive until July 7th. My 7 year old grandson and now my 5 year old granddaughter love the chickens. My grandson lives with me has a bator and since our favorite color is blue I would love to have these for him........Thanks and God Bless...........

WOW!!!! What a responce!
1 st, Congrats on 3000.

I've read them all and can say being a poultry-ahollic, hatch-ahollic, chick-ahollic everyone else has given my reasons for wanting BBR eggs, (except the vision test-LOL

)

I would "LOVE" to have these eggs too! What better reason than to send these beauties to Indiana so I can help spread this great breed here in the midwest fly-over states.

Thanks for the chance to enter, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

If someone lives close to me and is not asking because they don't have any incubator..........

I have an incubator or two or so (yes the addiction causes multiple incubator purchases, LOL) and would hatch them for you.

So ASK!!

I don't need them but Robin has amazing birds and anyone would be lucky to be chosen

What a lovely way to give back

I would like to win this contest for a few reasons. I am on day 20 hatching my second set of eggs. My first hatch resulted in no chickes

I have had a few temperature "issues" with this hatch, so I'm not sure how many babies of my 13 in the bator I will have. I want to be able to perfect my hatching skills, but hubby might put ME in the incubator if I keep buying eggs! Getting a dozen free would work in my favor!

Second, I think my hubby would be receptive to these eggs because his first chicken was a barred rock, and was killed by my dog. He has since been trained and the hens happily follow him around the yard picking at the flies around him.

Third, I love the waiting and hoping that comes along with hatching eggs! My chickens are spoiled rotten and any new additions would have a wonderful life with me, my hubby, kids, and our flock!

OK I posted already but I've rethought why I would love to have those eggs...

First of all, thank you so much for giving your fellow BYCers a chance to get some free eggs; everyone loves free eggs, especially to hatch!

It is very kind and thoughtful of you.

Well, one major reason why I want those eggs is because I've only seen some eggs hatch in real life ONCE, and that was last weekend with our broody hen, and 3 made it. Now I know that all you hatch-aholics know that this is not enough to satisfy a hatch-aholic!

I NEED to see more eggs hatch!

So, if I win these eggs, it will calm my need to go hatch-crazy and it will enable me to add on a new breed to our flock of mostly Buff Orps and Red Stars(and some others).
Now that I've explained one reason why I want those eggs, here's another: I want those eggs just because they simply are from you. And by looking at that gorgeous rooster as your avatar, I know that I will be getting high quality chickens.
Another reason why I would like these eggs is because I think that blue chickens are just beautiful and stunning to watch! And blue is one of my favorite colors.

Another reason(not a very good reason) why I would love to have these eggs is because I've never won anything on here before.

Another reason is that one of our young Bantam Cochin pullets is going broody. She's never been a mother in her young life, and has been sitting on her own eggs, which will never hatch because we don't have another rooster of her size...the other 2 that we have are way too big for her. Why don't I just put some of our other chicken's eggs under her, you might ask? Well, we've just hatched a few chicks last weekend from our own chickens, and would like to try and hatch a different breed. Now we already have 6 Red Stars(2 are the chicks that hatched...but they are crossed with a RIR rooster). So, if I win these eggs, it will allow us to have a big flock with variety in it. Sure, we like our Red Stars and Buff Orps and other breeds, but a little more variety wouldn't hurt.

So, in conclusion, I have many reasons why I would love these eggs. Some are similar or the same to other people's, and everyone here has some very good reasons why they also want these eggs.

So good luck to everyone and I hope that whoever gets them enjoy them!

First of all thanks for posting this and congrats on your 3K post milestone! At the rate I'm going I'll probably never get there on this forum but I do have over 3,200 posts on another forum.

Back on topic...I would like these eggs because I will get to test out with them that I will be getting on Saturday. I am a noob to this and don't even have any birds at all yet. I plan on working on my coop when I get some eggs in the incubator. Thanks for posting this!
