no not beer, abs.

im not going to say how old i am. but i will say just to give ya'll a little help is im young enough to want to impress girls with my abs.

i weight about 190. most of which is not muscle, i dont think.

i want to get a 6-pack and maybe build up my biceps alot.

i run a round alot outside. i dont do sports because i think i am to fat. i have no self-confidence at all. most of the guys that have girl friends have a 6-pack. no im not gay and checking out guys or nothing. just what i happenened to notice.

i want to get a 6-pack badley. on average if i do 100 situps everyday, how long should it be before i have a 6-pack of my own.?

thanks.

cole.

-sigh-

I'm just going to perk in and say, if they are only interested in you for your body, then don't mess with them at all.

no ma'am thats not the only reason. i mean im sure most girls like guys with a nice body, but i would also like to get fit for me. girls arent the 1 and only reason why i want to get fit.
im just tired of weighing 190 lbs and most of it being fat. now if i weighed 190 lbs and most of it was muscle that would be a different story.

Yeah, I agree! As a girl, I can honestly say I go for personality way before looks. Sounds like you just need a little boost in confidence!

Don't get me wrong, trying to get in shape is a great thing. Just be sure you are doing it in a balanced way. You want to tone your entire body, not just a part of it. Sit ups and crunches are good, but make sure you are doing cardio too. Also, either work on all parts of your body a day, or choose a different part to work on each day. For example, legs one day, abs another, arms the next.

Most girls like guys who listen to them and who show interest without being over-bearing. If you are not feeling confident with the way you look or feel, do some activities that you enjoy, listen to music you like, and hang out with people who make you feel good. Make a vow to yourself to smile or talk to new people a couple times a week. When I'm feeling down in the dumps about myself, I will ride my horse or draw a picture. Those are two things not everyone can do well, so when I see myself doing them, it makes me feel happy about who I am.

Yes, some girls are all about looks, but the girls that matter will like you for you. Just try not to be too shy and stay positive!

Cardio is going to do a lot more to overall help you become leaner...jogging (even pretty slowly), a stairclimber, cycling will be keys. I would go for crunches more than sit-ups, as it seems to affect more the length of your stomach/abdomen area. Don't know how old/young you are, but if you drink much beer (or other alcohols) - that really puts on the weight, especially in the belly area. Getting in shape does a lot for your self-esteem. Do it for yourself. When you're more self-confident, girls will see that.

thanks ma'am. i do need to be more self confident. i am way shy also. i think most of it is because im not in shape and i dont want people to laugh at me because of the way i look.
if ya dont mind me asking, what exactually is cardio? how do i do that?

Along with the exercise which will be key, (yeah, you'll need to run or bike(spin))

There are some supplements that can help you. Go to GNC or other health food store and find a good mix of ornithine and arginine (amino acids) to take at bed time. It's worked for my boys....and lots of other added benefits as well.

Some fun and easy exercise that will work out all the muscles in your body are swimming and dancing! If you're not a swimmer, you can just walk under water too. The resistance of the water gives you a great workout. Another plus with swimming is you won't get all sweaty.

And tell yourself you're awesome every day!

ok, so what ive got from cardio is, its pretty much running/jogging. something to make my heart start pumping faster? is this correct.
and no i dont do drugs or drink beer or anything. dont really have any reason too. dont really want to. i want to start this tomorrow.
i did 100 situps already tonight. got another question for ya'll . . . whats the difference between crunches and situps? ha. i thought they were both the same. . .
