I want to SCREAM, I want to cry!!

She goes outside to go potty every night before bed and then usually again around 3am. She is spayed and I was a little worried that might have something to do with it so I guess I'll have to take her in to have her checked out, for spay issues and diabetes. :( I know diabetes in common in Chihuahuas but didn't know it caused bladder issues. I feel like she DOESNT mean to do it, she's immediately ashamed as soon as i find it and tries to hide herself so I haven't wanted to punish her. and she's also not asking to go potty before it happens either.

Looks like I will be calling the vet today. I was sort of hoping it was an attitude thing i could fix and she wasnt 'sick' :(

Fly 2006, she does sleep in the bed at night, always has because she was so tiny when i got her(rescued). she's never done this before though and i sleep with clothes on. she usually sleeps right against me between the blankets though so it's not leaking while sleeping either.

The fact that it is that much pee makes me think of a kidney problem or diabetes. You can get some diaper things for incontinent dogs from the mail order pet supply Smith & Foster.

i think its the whole new house new people new big dog thing. She's scared or upset because of the changes.

The fact that the OP said it was a very large amount of urine makes me think it is physiological problem rather than an emotional one. Hopefully, you are right.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to drop back in and say it hasn't happened again so far. I'm still watching her to see if she starts acting weird for any reason and trying to keep the bigger dog away from her. She wants to play with him at times but he just gets too excited, i think maybe that's what the problem was but still keeping an eye on her.
