I wanted just a few hens so we could have good organic eggs. But my husband thought it would be great to have a ton of chickens. I don't mind so much other then I wanted to feed them an organic diet. Well the food is very expensive especially with that many hens.
This past week I ended up giving them some alfalfa and grain that I feed my horses which is not organic.
My goal was to keep them all organic with no Soy and try and sell some of the eggs.
How long does will it take to consider them Organic again if I only feed them the organic feed.?
Any help would be great.

and Welcome to BYC! I think it would depend on what was in the feed? Is the USDA list with substances and what can and can not be used/fed. If that doesn't help it might just be easiest to email them
