Roo was hatched from a blue maran egg. The girls in the back were too.

How old are they? I didn't think Marans had white earlobes or black legs - could they be blue Minorca? Very pretty chickens!

They are all about 5-6 months old.

equibling is spot on. The male is a blue Andalusian.

As for the females, can you get more photos? Are their earlobes red or white? What color are the bottoms of their feet? Bright yellow, or pale pink?

OK, what is a blue andalusians. Would that mean the hens are too as they all came fromt eh same breeder. They just started to lay and their eggs are not as dark as my BCM eggs.

I don't think your roo is a Marans because of the white earlobes. I had two blue hens and they were heftier/rounder than your pullets, but if yours are only 5/6 months old they could fill out some more.

Blue Andalusians should be laying a white egg. ALthough they will sometimes start out darker or an off-white and lighten with age & laying season.

just googled them. Then hens are not as they lay dark brown eggs not white....
