It does! I thought it looked like a black australorp but of course that is not on the rare list, now that I look I think you're right

I have a hard time telling welsummer CCL or speckled sussex apart. I was hoping for CCL or speckled sussex

It's not CCL because those have barring. If the legs are white and not yellow, they could be speckled Sussex. But my bet is on Welsummers.

I think you're right about #7 blue orpington because that is the meal maker chick this week

it does look like the line on #8 is curving up !
