I will never be nominated for Mother of the year Award thread

Lost mine several years ago in a similar manner. My oldest son was 2-3 years old at the time and being a little booger about getting in the car. I had his younger brother (less than 1) to deal with, so Jesse was supposed to at least open his door and get in his seat. He was standing on the steps of our building just fussing at me to no end. I told him to get in the car or I was going to leave him there. He continued fussing without moving, so I got in and started the car. He FREAKED, started screaming and crying his poor little head off, he just knew I was going to leave him! Needless to say, he got in the car that time

Well obviously he's got to have at LEAST 3 brain cells if he had sense enough to know he'd lose his phone

How did you manage to not laugh? That's one of my biggest problems. When youngest DS repeats a 'bad word' (quoted Grampa's "f"-worded phrase the other day) half the time I can't keep from at least cracking a smile. Sometimes I flat-out laugh, I just can't help it. But he knows he's not supposed to say those, it's just sometimes he doesn't realize they are 'bad words' until after they've come out

I believe my mom used similar tactics with my brother growing up. He was terrible about not cleaning his room until he was picking up some dirty laundry off the floor and got bit by a mouse

I think he did pretty good after that about picking up after himself.

She says that it makes her CRAZZZZY to this day when she suspects someone is laughing at her. LOL

I'm sick and when I am sick I am not very pleasant to say the least.

So this morning I was a grouch and told the 7yr old he was not taking his lunch he would have to eat the school lunch and he started to pout. So I told him I was sick and he was not being very considerate then I continued to rant and told the whole family how they needed to pitch in more and I was not able to pamper them while I have strept throat and a sinus infection that they all gave to me. Plus I am tired of them depending on me for every lil thing. They are to dependant on me and this whole family falls a part if I need a day or two to lay in bed sick. I was terrible to them. I walked the kids to the bus then did the morning chores. Got on the computer to pay the bills and thought about how rottin I was and am feeling kinda crummy cause they are used to me doing things for them because I just do things for them. Mostly because i enjoy doing it all. I am just a mean sick person and took it out on them.

I know I will never be nominated for mother of the year so I am going back to bed now.

No, you're just a sick person. You really got a double whammy of sick, there. The kids won't remember by the time they get home. Feel better!

He's 18, I've heard it all by now and then some. So I roll my eyes a lot, snicker behind my breath and just go on with life.
