Well I messed up again
We had 7 roosters up until Sunday all running loose and they were getting a bit agressive. Youngest boy was out with me working in the yard. When a roo decides to challenge him. He is 8yrs old and totally flipped out.
First I said in a calm but loud voice "don't run, charge him."
Son takes off running, trips once but kept going screaming the whole way.
"SON'S NAME" very loudly and somewhat angrivated "stop running." The roo still behind him
son jumps the ditch looses a shoe but keeps running. Ticked off cause he wont listen I yell "get your a$$ back hear right now."
son falls to the ground and is crying the roo has lost interest by now and gone away
I yell "get up and quit crying like a lil girl." Only to realize that my only daughter is now standing on the porch and goes stopping into the house.
Son gets up still crying and I say "come here right now."
He yells "I am going in the house
Me "Oh no your not, it's time to man up and face your fears"
realizing at this point I sound like my parents
He comes over pouting and acting afraid. I make him stay by me until a roo attacks and make him chase it. Then he gets the hang of it and starts chasing roos all over the yard.
Knowing that I totally lost my cool and went off the deep end Later I felt horrible for how mean I was to him and told him I was sorry and then appologized to my daughter and I don't think she is over it yet.
So there ya go and yes I know I will never be nominated for mother of the year.
