I have to go to TSC today. Praying I can get in and out without any fuzzies.

We got 24 eggs yesterday, and have been consistently getting WAY more eggs than we can eat for a long time. What we do is donate to our local veterans food bank. I can't stand to see even one egg go to waste, and it's a win-win situation for us to donate. Our veterans get nutritious farm-raised eggs, and nothing goes to waste! I'm about ready to make a run up there with probably about 20 dozen. :_

Well, it didn't work. Came home with these four cuties. The one on the far left is a Mille Fleur, I think, and the other three are bantam cochins. One appears to be frizzled.

Sigh... Too late for me!

My car drove itself (with me in it) to TS yesterday.

I had no intention to go. Not ready for a new baby right now. Too busy. Furnace malfunctioning. Not set up with brooder. And yet, there I was. Well, I did need a bit more feed... So into the store. O M G !

I’m here trying to be strong. I was so proud that I went in and out without any babies when I went to get feed for the chickens. I’m not so sure I won’t do it anymore

At least only 4 of the fluffy butts got me (2 Ameraucana and 2 Orpington straight runs at 2/$5). They had about 8 other varieties, bantams sold out, and ducks and turkeys too.

This is the FIRST YEAR in 3yrs that I am not getting CHICKS!! I'm very proud of myself, I actually have 2 more chickens than I want. My husband said NO to more chicks, The suburb said "NO" to chickens a long time ago!! going to see how this plays out.....
