I will not go to tractor supply.

I am good. It never gets easier, but life must move on.

When I have a bigger farm I'm going to do rescues so bear I start learning how to deal with situations now than later.

That’s what I say every spring. So for I have not been successful.
I am weak. So very weak.

And that's why these lovies are running around the house as I type. Or under the cat tree. Hubby is putting up the nursery when he gets off work so kitty gets her cat tree back :love

GASP......i barely made it out chickless! New arrivals of bantams at Tractor Supply. One or two really caught my heart, but I was strong and made it out with only the new incubator. Although, i could have gotten a brooder set up, the chicks, feed, etc. and spent less AND they would be guaranteed. With shipped eggs, who knows.
Sigh......
I am so PROUD of you! :celebrate

Chicks still pass away though. So nothing is a guarantee.
Yes, but then you can take them back to TSC for replacement. Of course, there's that nasty 4-chick minimum ... and then the fifth one you take because you can't quite make up your mind about the last "one." Then there's the single chick that looks straight into your heart and peeps, right before your TSC employee closes up the box ... and, after all, what's just ONE more when you're dealing with cute little peeps, right?
So, you see, day-old chicks do come with an unwritten guarantee ... the guarantee that you will end up with more than you originally intended.
{{... sigh ... }} Chicken Math. Maybe hatching your own shipped eggs is a safer bet, after all ...

TSC doesn't replace chicks here at all. There is not a guarantee when you bring them home. Once they're in your hands they're your issue according to them.
