I would ask myself these questions:

Do I have the time, money and energy to care for the ducklings in winter?

Am I going to sell the ducklings or keep them?

What will I do with males?



But yeah PlEASE INCUBATE THEM!

So when my husband say “oh great, maybe now we’ll get some ducks” he clearly means I need to hatch at least some… Now where to set up the incubator and figure out if we can find a place for the brooder again

Ooh is this your first time using an incubator? I have one for emergencies even though we don’t have a rooster but I would love to use it one day. We have enough chickens for now but I do want to hatch some duck eggs just don’t know where to get them from. Keep us updated!

Yes! It just came in the mail yesterday and I’m supposed to have it as a Christmas present for the kids. But it’s just so gosh darn tempting lol

Update: Was able to grab a few different eggs from the nest and none are showing development, so glad there won’t be winter babies. She came back and I’ll take them if she leaves again
