The thing is, with the two that got into her yard, we don't know HOW they got in there. I've been over every inch of the yard, and have no idea how they could have gotten in there, short of OVER, or UNDER, and I couldn't find any holes or gaps (its a panelled colourbond fence, so not wire, or anything, any gaps underneath were filled in special metal that is screwed to the fence and goes into the ground.
The rest of the yard is currently in the process of being built/completed. The yard the chickens were in was rather small, and with my brothers help we extended it, and he's building for me a much larger house. Behind the main house, a smaller run is being built for chicks, but due to funding, none of it is finished in entirety.
I am unemployed currently, and I always put the money into feed and stuff first, as at the moment, their old house is still perfectly usable, until the new one is finished being built.
But in the meantime, I say the chickens got "under" the fence, but I don't know, they could have gone over it. I don't actually know. The fence is 7 feet high.
All I know is that my dad lied about where he found my dad chicken, telling me it was in my own yard, when it was in hers, and I have no idea exactly how it could have gotten there (I do doubt going OVER the fence, as being a frizzle with the curled wings, he was never the best flier, so I find it hard to believe he may have gone over the fence).
And the second one to get under, more recently, despite being 10 weeks old, was positively teeny.
SO, unless I'm missing some kind of gap somewhere, I don't honestly know how it got into her yard either. I've looked and looked and looked.
Generally the only place the chickens can get out is through the pool fencing, because our yard goes House... Backyard... Pool Area.... Chicken Yard.... Rear Fence, and the pool fencing only is going to lead them into our back yard, which again, is perfectly secure and also 7 feet high (and generally, most of them don't tend to bother coming into the yard, they tend to stay in their pen).
But this time, my own chicken was in my own backyard. And was killed because she is so arrogant as to think she knows better than others and OH NO, her dog wouldn't do that.

This dog is one who has grown up in such a way, coz he is such a big dog, that playful slapping and gentle punches and such, have become a part of his life, he ENJOYS it. Being put on a lead and tugged around, being slapped, being punched, to him its all a game. The only way he ever realises he is being punished is through something extreme, and even then, he has never been hurt, usually just frightened. And it doesn't stop him. It's almost as though as soon as he gets over the fright, he forgets about it.
My Pom, Angel, she's the same. She gets in trouble for something, gets punished, and less than five minutes later, she's forgotten its ever happened and will do the exact same thing that just got her in trouble. Giving him a poke, or yanking his lead only ever diverts his attention for a split second, and as soon as you release him, he's back at staring and ogling. You actually have to give him a swift kick so he realises he's doing wrong. Anything else isn't enough with this dog, because he thinks you're playing with him.
