3goodeggs...I would love to! My inlaws live in Lake Placid...They live up here 8-9 months out of the year, right next door to me...They know when to call it quits and leave!

LoL it's 10* F here in VERY northern Maine today. We've had unusually high temps this year up until last week. Still not much snow. We should have 10 feet by now and I don't think we really have more than a couple inches.
I could handle your heat. It's the humidity that would kill me

I hope your plants don't get killed by those temps down there!! I like some fresh Florida oranges

But the animals will be fine. Don't worry about them. Just protect your fruits!

Picking of the limes, oranges and grapefruit should be about under way on our yard trees. Luckily since on an Island the water around us keeps us warmer than others. If the fruit freezes it will get tossed in the pasture and they will be happy critters. Glad I hadn't put out the garden just yet. Now hoping the strawberry farmers survive looking forward to Feb berries.

I know just the few times it freezes here I hate dealing with busting ice in the pools. I cant even imagine what our friends to the north go thru with knocking snow off so it doesnt tear the pens down or just keeping drinking water available. My hat's off to yall. When I was younger I didnt even break a sweat in the 90's. I like it colder now but if I had to choose the extreme I will still take the heat over the cold. BRRR!!!

Has been unusually warm for the most part in ME this year, at least where I am. But I am guessing we will start paying for it soon enough. And your FL weather will go back to normal warm temps.
I am not looking forward to "real" winter. I hate it. Makes me VERY crabby.

Yep, that's called living in Chicago! It's sub zero in winter and 100+ in summer! And my spoiled rotten knuckleheads prefer spending all their time in my 72 degree house!

Hello all,

Had ice last night before 10:00pm. Covered the pump and turned on the water at the end of the lines in the pastures. Had lots of ice this am, but the weather man said (It only hit 34' in our area). So I guess water freezes at a different temperature now
