have two eggs hatching right now and one I’m afraid of the membrane. Where the shell is broken has a tan like film. I can see the chicks beak pecking through the opening but I’m not sure it’s making progress I don’t want it to die.

It looks like just the membrane it should be fine. Don’t touch it or try to help untill 24 hours after the first pip. As well as you should read a bunch about assisted hatching if you even think you’re gonna need to help it. Let me get a link for assisted hatching give me one moment.

He hatched! Thank you! After they are dried and moved to brooder box when should I first feed them?

I always have food in the brooder when I move them over

Ok thank you! Is a time limit I’ve heard 24 hrs but these two that hatched are wreaking havoc in the incubator and jumbling the other eggs around!
