Thats too bad Steph. Bella looked very pretty, with a nice shape as well. Did she and P get along?
Going to Hutchinson this weekend for a swap meet that I was just reminded of. Gonna take David. Maybe if the starts sell, I won't have to take them to WI next weekend.

Hey, can someone help me? I saw a hen at a county fair in Minnesota the other day, but it wasn't identified. It was a standard size beautiful solid gray/blue color. I sure did like the look of that hen. Would like to add a few to my fall pullet order. Anyone have an idea of what it might have been?

Anybody out there in my area of the state that might have a few pullet chicks to spare? I need to expand my flock to have more eggs to sell next year. I like Buff Orps the best, but also have Red sex-links and Copper Marans.

Anyone live in Waverly? Looking at buying a home there and wanted to find out if chickens are allowed? land is over 2 acres and zoned R-1. Have been told can have any kind of animal on the land. Would also like to have a couple goats.

I wanted to go there once so I could also go hike in the caves - stupid bats got sick though and blew that plan. BOOOO!

I think we will stick to Waverly.

They have a hiking trail that goes into some caves in Maquokets but earlier this year they had to close all the caves because the bats are carrying a fungus and they don't want it to spread from the area.

Eric,i still plan to come up the 24th,do you still have any pairs of your older birds yet? i will let you know if things change.i have about 40 chicks in the brooder now from 3 days old to around 4 weeks,i think i will need to get the other brooder out.would you happen to have my part of the orders figured out yet.the way it sounds we are skipping the Jackson,Hutch and Waverly sales this fall.so it looks like we are going to be done buying birds for the year.it's going to be a long winter.Mike
