All surgeries are serious some less than others, I hope yours is on the less side. And you'll be home right away.

Maybe they screwed up at the hatchery and sent a turkey? No, sorry about helping clean. I am sure I will be busy at that time, whenever it is.
Right outside our front stoop and sidewalk are twin maples and I love seeing all the yellow leaves on the ground and the crunching sound as you walk through them.

By the way Steph the Crele cockerel that I kept, has the weirdest crow.... sounds like he's doing a screechy yodel kinda thing. Starts out high then winds down. He would win a strange sounding crowing contest!

I never hear mine crow except early in the morning.

It is not a serious surgery. I have a "lump" on the back of my shoulder/armpit that they are going to remove. It is just a "fatty tumor" but if they don't take it out it can start to grow around muscles etc. Right now it isn't attached to anything.

It is outpatient surgery with no restrictions afterwards.

Thats good to hear. It has only been recently that I have begun wearing hats. Shoulda started years ago, now, because of my complexion
(which is angelic) LMAO... I have stuff all over me that has to be cut off and out, at least once a year and yes, some are cancerous so... WEAR A HAT when you're outside!
I did check the ostrich chicks and I am missing one so at least now I know where it went. LOL

No fair - Gary never calls me! Who's Gary??

Now that I look one of the chicks has a white eyebrow. Might just be chick feed dust though...

Eric I am also checking into some serama eggs from bluegrass seramas.

Oh it's funny the surgeon kept describing the growth as something egg shaped. I asked him if it was possible that one of my chickens laid an egg under my skin - you know all alien- like.

He thought it was funny - but he was an amusing Dr.

Hi all,
I love following all your stories! Our chichuahua died this morning about 1 am. My husband is taking it very hard. He was 12 or 13 years old and was sick with cancer and diabetes. This dog worshipped him and he was always with him. I don't know if we will get another dog although I know how good pets are for you. I will let this be his call. Anyway if we do and he wants another chihuahua do any of you know any breeders? His dog was a different color too, it was a blue color.

Even if you don't have this breed of dogs can you let me know what breeds you have if you do breed any?

I am sorry about your dog Harleyjo!

Give yourselves time to heal before thinking about another dog. The right one will just come into your life.

My daughter was looking to replace her cat this year and scoured the internet and ARL for months. She kept getting disappointed. She just happened to look at craigslist right when someone posted about a found kitten that seemed homeless. That kitten is PURRfect for my daughter. She had almost got one the day before at the ARL but it didn't seem right to her. This cat is her best buddy now.
