Eric would know for sure - he is the show king on here.

I've decided to forgo showing at Iowa City this year. I don't care for the wing set on Charming. I WILL be there to observe and shop though - weather permitting of course...

Thanks. I was thinking of maybe showing 2 sisters and thought they could go in the same pen to reduce their stress level but then I found out elsewhere the double coops are where for the really large chickens so they get an extra large pen. I'm still deciding which birds I should take. I guess I might see ya there.

Sorry steph he is allways going to be Ozy to me:lol:. I like those swedish names too. I am sorry about your chickens. .

I need help with something besides chickens. It is very important or I would not ask on this forum. I have had IA care insurance for about 2 years now. I have to go to IA City to see the dr. I do not mind going to IA city, but the dr. spends 30 seconds in the room with me. He does not do any blood work or check my urin. I had questions about my 6 medications one them is steroids. He does not answer them and then tells me that there are no side effects from steriods.
I havde had lupus since I was a little girl. I was near kidney and liver failer twice. I KNOW there is side effects from steroids. I allso know that I should have blood work and urin checked. That is the only way to see what lupus is doing to me now:/.

Here is where I need help. I am getting real insuranc now!!! Wellmark. I need to find a dr. who cares!!! That is hard to do. If you guys could ask around, freinds, whoever. That might help me find one. That would be a very big help to me. The dr. cant make me any better but if I had one who just cared. I would feel better just knowing someone besides my mom cares.

I would like to go to a share group for people with cronic illnesses but have not found one in IA.
Thanks lisa

Lisa - I used to work with someone who had lupus. I haven't seen her in a couple of years but if I can get a hold of her, I could find out who she sees. No guarantees but I will give it a try!

I asked him today and he told me his name was Sven, but you could call him Ozy.

Ok sven is a pretty name.

Thanks Steph That would be great if you can contact her. That gave me an idea. I have heard of a lady here who has lupus. I have never met her but this is a small town. I bet I could talk to her and see who she has for her dr. Thanks alot lisa

My wifes Father was of Swedish descent, I recall him saying (and my spelling probably won't be right) svenska poika, svenska flika, and snerboost. poika and flika are boy and girl, and the other is snot or booger! Maybe the last will be a good name?
Had a really cute baby hatch

it's a poofy x whitey! How a serama finally managed to a err umm well you know, with a buff cohin, I don't know but the baby has little hairy legs and looks just like her mom! had a good hatch. Appears to be orloffs, buttercups, a new hampshire red, and a couple delaware and one pynch x whitey. this time of year I hatch some yard monkeys just to see how cute I can get them!
The next time someone comes by our house... I'd love a couple dozen big eggs!

Almost forgot... double coops can be for bantam or LF. You have singles, double and trios. A double would be for a male and female of a specie or variety. they are separated, just one tag is used I believe. Some shows will judge doubles and trios and some don't. I might be wrong. Some people use a double coop for really large fowl like Stephs future ostrich/emu, or for a bird with a really long tail. I've seen some BIG birds at shows, giants!

How about kyckling? It means chicken...

Oh my eggs from bluegrass seramas are in the bator but they ALL have detached air-cells. I see two so far that look to have development but it is still early. Will do a final candle later this week.

I have 4-6 yard mutts hatching myself in the next few days. Too bad I don't remember when I put them in the bator. They look to be about cooked. I know it was around 1 week after I put the EE eggs in and they hatched a week ago today.
