you have cuckoo marans? How dark are their eggs?

My BC maran roo is in the basement, don't think he is going to make it. I have him on terramycin but when he pooed it made him fall over. He is mouth breathing, weak, and very pale.

ETA: my two serama eggs did not make it. I am soooo disappointed. They were fine two days ago, but I checked them this morning and the veins had died back and there is no movement.

Thats too bad about the Serama eggs. I happen to have a couple wee little chicks????

Thanks Eric - I am looking for something with a little bit shorter back and a better wing set.

I just went out to the coop and lo and behold. P. has three of her chicks and 2 of the Iowa blues trying to snuggle under her. The big Iowa blue has the fourth baby chick under his wing. I think I might bring them all in for the night. It is really cold out there.

She is such a good mama!

My poor Tucker is crying and howling. He got his snip snip surgery today and I have him caged. He HATES it.

When I picked him up he had the saddest puppy face ever - even the vet agreed.

Poor bow legged little guy.

Yes, they might be more comfy inside. Funny how they can try and take care of each other

They are inside now, I went and checked on Tank my big roo. He is on his last breaths. I just sat and stroked him for awhile. There is nothing more I can do now.

Sorry you lost Tank, Stephanie.

Eric, I'll bring you eggs for eating.

Steph, I don't currently have my Cuckoo Marans in a breeding pen right now. I just have BCM, BO, BR, Cochins, Mille Fluer Dutch, Silkies, Showgirls, and a small amount of Welsummers.
