To bad they will miss 70s here. Figures though think next yr when it's freezing we should all pitch in to when'd them someplace if it bring warmth here.

My youngest 2 legged kid has a fever today think I'm going to pull out a chair and camp him out in yard

All 4 Roos are crowing, someone got into it cause there was blood in coop. Now that weather has warmed up the truce is off

Is he "trying to have a fever" or does he actually have one

Not sure what is going on here - missing another bird last night when I closed up shop. Frizzled cochin between banty and standard size. She's a mean ole cuss too - wouldn't think anything would mess with her.

I am hoping she shows up this morning. I looked for a long time and didn't find her nor any evidence of a struggle. She was out there in the afternoon and by 7 pm she was gone

Lmao I swear that nurse just gets tired of seeing him and calls. But Q crys if he can't go to school so he's not a faker. Yesterday craige ready did have a mild fever 100 but I gave meds and sent him out the door with the understanding I was not getting him later.

Hope she turns up.

Hope you find the culprit!!!!

Last year I had coons picking off my Pekin ducks. They would only take the biggest drakes. I know it was coons, because I could hear them fighting over it in the timber across our field.

Didn't lose any over the Winter, but I don't let them free range in the Winter either.

the one that poofed yesterday shouldn't have been taken by a coon - they are not out during the day here. Looking back the one we lost a few days ago ( white silkie HEN) was probably still outside when I shut the coop down. I checked under the coop for rogue birds but there were none so I didn't count them (my bad). I think she was actually already clear up front of my house. The day before she was at the end of the driveway. So she had probably wandered up there and then hid under the bush where a coon found her that night. There were coon prints around her ummm remains (not much left)
