What? You didn't like my self portrait? I'm with Sam. I may have to put a little effort into my appearance come this swap day. I usually look like I got run over by a truck on swap days!

Hi Destiny,

There are so many variables with hatching, many have their own techniques for hatching and humidity levels that work best for them. Temps should always stay the same, between 99-101.

Humidity for hatching, IMO, should be between 45-60%. You will see that jump around quite a bit when chicks start hatching, which is fine. The less you open the incubator, the better. Good luck with your hatch.

I've narrowed down which RC RIR roosters I am keeping and the rest will be going with me to swaps. It was a tough decision, I like them all! These are awesome birds. One is reserved already by one of my swap buddies. I'm also taking my 3 year old Cochin hens that I've used as my breeders. They are still laying, but it has slowed quite a bit. From 6 hens, I get about 14-22 eggs per week from them. These will be paired up with our extra roosters. Some are Sampson babies, some are not. We have a breeding pair of Royal Palms for $80. Male Guineas in several colors. Chicks galore! We will also be selling some extra Muscovey Drakes.

Anyone going to Waverly that has OEGBs? I'm still looking for a chocolate and a gold laced. Or any other unusual colors.

Is there usually hatching eggs there? I might have to dig my incubator out!
